This is the information on final 4 steps that have to be performed by customers who choose Centos 5.4 + cPanel as their OS.

Before your server is completely ready, you must complete the following simple tasks in order to fully setup your cPanel VPS.

1) Log into your VPS via SSH with login username and password sent to you in the welcome email.
2) Change the passwod for root user by typing: sudo passwd root (followed by your current password, and then by root's new password entered twice)
3) Now that we have the root password, open your browser and head to https://[YOUR-VPS-IP]:2087/ and log in with the root username, and the password you just set.
4) Follow the 6 simple steps cPanel installation asks you (like setting up your hostname, IPs, Name servers, etc.) and when done your cPanel installation will be complete.
